Noisy but nice

The hotel is very central and therefore very noisy from the traffic at night. The price was too high to be in Mexico. Rooms tiny but clean. The restaurant is fantastic with good food and friendly staff.

We stayed for one night and regretted not staying longer. Staff was amiable and did their utmost with the cozumel flyboard suggestions. The restaurant was excellent; menu elaborates; guacamole made at our table very special. Would advise anyone to stay at least one night when passing Valladolid.

Second time back, this time with my kids. We used the family room, which has some extra space and three beds. Good wi-fi, and adequate A/C, though the 100 degree days pushed it to the limit. Parking is protected and right onsite.

Hotel location is still the main draw, as the front door opens right onto the town square, which has live music performances, street food vendors, and plenty of residents after dark. The hotel courtyard includes a lovely shaded pool, which is an oasis from the crushing heat, along with comfort food and a full bar. The restaurant could double a period movie set, especially at night, with a fountain and trees growing through the roof.

Thanks also to the staff who were ready to help with check-in, parking, and directions. We paid for the room breakfast, which at $6.00 had fresh juice, unlimited coffee, and big servings.

On the many choices we had to book our stay in the Magical city of Valladolid, we hit the Jackpot. The staff is very kind and helpful.

Their family suits are very comfortable and very clean. This hotel is located in the perfect area to visit the main areas of the city. You will find many restaurants choices in walking distance but this hotel has a great menu in their classy Mexican style restaurant. We truly suggest El Mesón del Marqués on your next visit to Valladolid, Yucatán.
